Sometimes I am just too busy to be an all round amazing mom. Between laundry, kid management, “quality time with the husband” and working it is a wonder our kids get fed at all somedays.

And so I find ways to cheat the time bandit.

I know this will shock my friends, but I use dry shampoo, so even if I haven’t showered in 4 days I still look “acceptable” to humanity.

I have become a spot clean genius.  Floors, tables and even the kids clothes are cleaned just where they are dirty.  Why bother mopping the floor when all I really need to do is wipe down the traffic areas?

And I found Protinis.

Maple leaf Protinis

They have elevated me to “Bento Box Mom” status.

And yes, they are “just chicken.” Just little boxes, filled with perfectly roasted and sliced chicken.

Sliced chicken that can be easily added into the kids lunch boxes, topped with a few fresh cranberries (also included)

Oven Roasted Chicken with Apple slices: throw them onto of fresh greens for a healthy and romantic dinner for you and the hubs.

Oven roasted chicken that never has the kids whining about how DRY it is. Me never having to turn on the oven on a Sunday night so everyone can have “fresh oven roasted chicken” in their lunch.

But I’m still getting all the credit for it.

Those little boxes are easily tossed into the recycling bin so no one in my family is ever the wiser. I get to keep my “chef” status, and even have time to toss in some homemade cookies.

I mean, haven’t you ever been where this mom is?

Check out Protinis today and you won’t be sorry!  Your family will thank you for it in fact!

Not too sure how I cheat at meal times, unless you mean giving a Protini to my toddler instead of cooking a 5 course lunch… in that case I’ll cheat everyday!

  2. I cheat at mealtimes through me mother-in-law. My son LOVES eating anything she cooks. I make fish, he turns his nose up. She makes fish. He will eat 2 entire fish!!!! So, every Sunday we visit and she sends me home with food 🙂

  3. I use Protini’s of course! I throw it into pasta and no one is the wiser!

I would love to win this! I eat them all the time for lunch with wraps.

  5. When I’m really busy, I sometimes eat Protinis for lunch instead of as a snack.

  6. I find pre-prepared menu items have improved greatly over the years. You could add a sauce(like pineapple) to something like protini’s and cook up a batch of jasmine rice.Heat and eat 🙂
